751 South, the highly-anticipated development in Durham, NC, recently named Lowes Foods, a Carolina-based grocer, as the master-planned community’s neighborhood grocery store.

The 50,000 square foot store will include Lowes Foods Originals such as The Community Table, The Beer Den, SausageWorks, The Cakery, Bread Crumb, Smokehouse, Sammy’s, The Chicken Kitchen and Pick & Prep. The Lowes Foods store will also feature Lowes Foods To-Go—an online ordering service where guests can select their groceries online, have Lowes Foods hosts do the shopping for them, and pick up the ready-to-go order curbside.

The grocer will be the anchor to a planned 300,000 square foot retail district designed to bring both daily conveniences as well as shopping, entertainment and dining opportunities to 751 South residents. Single family homes by the 751 South builder team—Saussy Burbank, Homes by Dickerson and Loyd Builders— are currently under construction and for sale. The community features a variety of home styles, many of which will offer large front porches, garages, light-filled spaces and open floor plans. Ryan Homes will be offering a wide selection of townhomes.

Lowes Foods plans to open their store in 751 South in summer 2020.
